Mr. Han-Sheng Wu et al. won the Superior Poster Award of the 15th Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell (HEFC2020) in Taiwan with the titled “Power Generation Efficiency of PV Modules Detected by Using UAV Equipped with Thermal Imaging Camera”.
The study focused on developing an improving method for detecting the possible damage of photovoltaic modules and estimate the distribution of hot spots in the thermal image by using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) equipped with a thermal camera. An advanced program was built to analyze the damage degree of the solar photovoltaic module and estimate the power generation efficiency.
