Prof. J.-S. Wu’s Aerothermal & Plasma Physics Laboratory (APPL) is currently collaborating with the Planetary Imaging Group (PIG), led by Prof. Nicolas Thomas, which is part of the Space Research and Planetary Sciences Division of the Physikalishes Intitut at the University of Bern. PIG uses the PDSC++, developed at APPL, for numerically modeling dusty-gas outflow from the surfaces of comets (https://space.unibe.ch/index.php?id=3307), which is an important part of the Rosseta Mission by ESA. Several important publications have resulted from this collaboration since 2013.
