Prof. Jong-Shinn Wu is invited to contribute to a Special Issue of Physics of Fluids that will be dedicated to the memory of Graeme Bird.

Since its introduction in 1963 DSMC has revolutionized the field of rarefied gas dynamics. The aim of the Special Issue is to elucidate the past and illuminate the future of DSMC. As a leading figure in the field you recognize the challenges that have been overcome and the advances that have been achieved during this time, which is why you have been selected to contribute a paper for inclusion in this Special Issue.
